Awards & Credentials
When selecting a contractor for your property, it’s important to research and understand the contractor’s credentials, certifications and reputation. Springtree is proud of its track record and of the following qualifications it has earned:
Licensed to Roof
Springtree Roofing and Restoration holds a license for roofing work from RCAT (Roofing Contractors Association of Texas), License #01-0245. The state of Texas does not require nor have any kind of licensing, certification or registration program for roofers or general contractors, which means that anyone can call themselves a roofer. To help alleviate the issues this causes, RCAT offers a voluntary licensing program, with rigorous testing and continuing education requirements, and we are proud to be licensed through it. If a roofing contractor in Texas says they are licensed, ask them to see a copy of it and/or for their license #. You can also call RCAT at 888.997.6631 to verify.
Springtree is also proud to be factory-certified as a GAF Master Elite® contractor. To earn this certification from GAF, a roofing contractor must be adequately insured, have a proven, commit to ongoing professional training and more.
Because of GAF’s stringent standards, only 3% of all roofing contractors have qualified as Master Elite® contractors. You can learn more at http://www.gaf.com/roofing/contractors.
CertainTeed SELECT ShingleMaster
Among Springtree’s credentials, we are especially proud to be a CertainTeed Roofing SELECT ShingleMaster™ (SSM) This is the top level CertainTeed roofing credential, and represents the highest standards of excellence, quality and knowledge in the shingle roofing industry. An SSM has shown extensive knowledge of shingle installation and quality through rigorous testing, and have provided CertainTeed with proof of workers’ compensation and liability insurance. Only an SSM can offer you the highest level of SureStart PLUS™ extended warranty coverage when an Integrity Roof System is installed on your home. You can learn more at https://www.certainteed.com/qualifications/.
Haag Certified Roofing Inspectors
All of Springtree’s project managers are Haag Certified Inspectors. The Haag Roofing Inspector Certification program is designed to make roofing contractors proficient with all major types of residential roofs. Through the program, they learn how hail and wind interact with roofing, inspection safety techniques, roof area calculations and applicable codes. They also gain comprehensive understanding of manufacturing, installation, weathering, hail damage, wind damage, maintenance, mechanical damage, and repair costs for each major roofing type. Liability and Workman’s Comp Insurance
Many Texas consumers are surprised to learn that the state of Texas also has no requirements related to insurance for roofing contractors or general contractors. That means, unfortunately, that many Texas contractors don’t carry any insurance. At Springtree, we carry both liability insurance and workman’s compensation insurance, so you can rest assured as we work on your property.
Industry Leadership and Associations
Springtree Roofing and Restoration is a member of the North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA), the BBB (with an A+ Rating) and the Roofing Contractors Association of Texas (RCAT). Co-owner AJ Huckaby served for severals years as an NTRCA board member and also served as a past NTRCA board president.
